Also if you would like a full in-depth room by room estimate along with tips and answers to general or specific questions this can also be arranged with no additional costs.
3What type of additional fees could I face during my moving services?
Many factors come into play when moving. During local (within your city) services you are
billed hourly so many of the factors that extend the time taken compared to the norm are not
charged. Whereas in long distance moving where you are billed by Weight and not by the
time associated with the service you could face paying extra for certain factors.

4What Payment Methods Are Accepted?

5What insurance is there for my items in transport?
The standard insurance included for your items is the release value protection. This is based on weight at $0.60/LB per article. We do suggest you speak with your home or renters insurance provider to get extended insurance through them.
6Is My Shipment Being Sent Out With Other Families In The Same Truck?
The simple answer would be yes. Most of the time we are combining shipments with other families going in the same direction as yourself. This is why we can keep rates as affordable as possible. However, don’t be worried! At pick up we take a detailed inventory list of all of your items we are shipping, along with tagging them all with your own unique coloured tag. Within the trailer we create large plywood walls to separate the families shipments giving you your own clean and dedicated space within the trailer. Also a dedicated shipment can be arranged, please ask your consultant or coordinator for more details.
7Can We Ship Our Clothes/Soft Items In Garbage Bags?
When you are shipping long-distance you always want to ensure everything is packed into solid and sealed containers. Using garbage bags is acceptable when going a very short distance. It is necessary for long-distance shipments to ensure there are no tearable soft garbage bags or loose items. This will avoid any issues down the line.
8What Is A Shuttle Service?
A shuttle service is when the truck being used to transport your goods from origin to destination cannot get access directly to either location. Most of the time the truck being used for transport is a semi-tractor and trailer (73 ft in length). In the situation where this cannot access the home a smaller truck (local truck or uhaul) may be used to shuttle the items between the trailer and the home. This additional work necessary in moving the items twice plus the extra truck are the reason you will see an additional charge.
9Are you able to provide us with exact dates?
This is definitely a case by case answer. However, it is normally possible to be able to pick you up at any given time. We have many resources available to us around the country and even if the transport may not be there at that exact date we can use a local crew to shuttle your items to temporary storage. Then transport your goods when the next trailer comes through your region. This can cause longer delivery times, your flexibility will be able to ensure the most direct route possible and the least amount of handling of your goods. Do keep in mind that long-distance is generally multi-family trips and we are trying to coordinate with all parties to ensure everyone gets the best end result and experience possible.
